About The Position

Riverside's Nurse Aide Program is designed to transition new hires from Hospitality Assistants to fully licensed Certified Nurse Aides. This program begins with you working as a Hospitality Assistant in a labor pool (as needed) status until your scheduled course begins. The course is an accelerated 4-week program that will equip you with the necessary skills and knowledge to pass your CNA boards. Classes require full-time day shift hours, and participants are compensated for all course and clinical hours. Upon successful completion of the program and passing the Virginia Board of Nursing – Nurse Aide exam, you will transition into a full-time or part-time CNA position at the facility where you were hired. Full-time CNA positions require a 12-month work commitment, and part-time positions require an 18-month work commitment after graduation. The work commitment must be fulfilled within a Lifelong Health facility (skilled rehab, long term care, or assisted living). Positions in home health or acute care are not eligible for the Earn and Learn program. Graduates will receive reimbursement for expenses related to registering for the National Nurse Aide Assessment Program (NNAAP) exam to obtain CNA designation.
