Requirements
- Active registration as a Nurse Aide in the Pennsylvania Nurse Aide Registry
- Six months of paid experience in the care and treatment of geriatric or physically ill patients or residents
- Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA
- Ability to perform essential job functions
- Pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements
Responsibilities
- Check and record vital signs, height, and weight
- Collect urine, feces, and sputum specimens and report observations
- Assist inmates with hygiene tasks, meal needs, and mobility
- Provide positioning, transfer assistance, and skin care while observing for concerns
- Share essential information with healthcare and custody staff during routine and emergency situations
- Retrieve, record, and file information in the electronic health record
