About The Position

The Nurse Aide in Training program is designed for individuals who aspire to become Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs). This program offers trainees the opportunity to gain practical, hands-on experience and receive classroom instruction, all under the guidance of licensed nursing professionals. The goal is to equip trainees with the essential skills needed to provide excellent care to residents in a skilled nursing facility setting.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Enrollment in or eligibility for a state-approved CNA training program.
  • Interest in pursuing a career in long-term care or nursing.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in an approved CNA training program.
  • Assist residents with daily care needs like grooming, dressing, and hygiene under supervision.
  • Observe and report any changes in residents' conditions to licensed nursing staff.
  • Assist with meal service, including feeding and ensuring adequate hydration.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents.
  • Learn and apply proper infection control and safety procedures.
  • Support residents' mobility and comfort with guidance from nursing staff.
  • Attend all scheduled training sessions and complete all required coursework.
  • Demonstrate compassion, respect, and professionalism in all interactions with residents and staff.
