About The Position

Riverside's Nurse Aide Program is designed to transition new hires from Hospitality Assistants to fully licensed Certified Nurse Aides. Participants will begin as Hospitality Assistants in a labor pool, working as needed until the start of a scheduled accelerated 4-week program. This program provides the necessary skills and knowledge to pass the CNA boards. Classes require full-time day shift hours, and participants are compensated for all course and clinical hours. Upon successful completion of the program and passing the Virginia Board of Nursing – Nurse Aide exam, graduates will transition into full-time or part-time CNA positions at their hired location. Full-time CNA positions require a 12-month work commitment, and part-time positions require an 18-month work commitment post-graduation. The work commitment must be fulfilled within a Lifelong Health facility (skilled rehab, long term care, or assisted living). Positions in home health or acute care are not eligible for this program. Graduates can receive reimbursement for costs associated with registering for the National Nurse Aide Assessment Program (NNAAP) exam to achieve CNA designation.
