About The Position

The Nurse Administrator is a pivotal leadership role responsible for bridging organizational vision with the delivery of high-quality, efficient patient care. This position ensures staff competency across the ASC while holding the authority to implement care strategies that reflect both our organizational goals and the highest standards of nursing excellence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing, Master’s degree in Nursing or associated field, preferred. Must be obtained within 5 years of hire.
  • At least 7 years of healthcare management experience, preferably in an ASC or outpatient surgical setting.
  • At least 5 years of education, training, development, and presentation.
  • Knowledge of State, Federal, and Accrediting Body regulations (AAAHC) as well as healthcare standards.
  • The candidate should be willing to participate in goal-setting and educational activities for professional development and have experience in personnel management.
  • Additionally, evidence of continuing education directly related to the job specifications is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with an ambulatory surgery center (ASC) is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzes growth opportunities and provides strategic recommendations to corporate leadership; accountable for implementing growth plans and achieving performance targets.
  • Ensures financial health through operational and capital planning aligned with corporate goals. Balances clinical excellence with fiscal responsibility.
  • Develops and monitors departmental strategic plans, goals, and staffing models to support long-term objectives.
  • Establishes KPIs and drives integrated quality improvement processes across disciplines.
  • Leads initiatives that enhance clinical services, patient outcomes, efficiency, and safety through process innovation.
  • Oversees operational planning and implementation of best practices, ensuring alignment with industry trends and evidence-based care.
  • Ensures compliance with internal policies, federal/state regulations, and accreditation standards (DOH, CMS, OSHA, CLIA, etc.).
  • Prepares for and leads site readiness for surveys, inspections, and credentialing processes.
  • Maintains infection control standards in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Provides leadership and staff development, conducts evaluations, and manages personnel actions (e.g., promotions, disciplinary actions).
  • Hosts monthly Town Hall meetings and fosters cross-functional collaboration with clinical and medical staff.
  • Develops cascading departmental goals that align with organizational benchmarks and strategic direction.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned to support the success of the center.
