About The Position
Ampcus Inc. is a certified global provider of a broad range of Technology and Business consulting services. We are in search of a highly motivated candidate to join our talented Team. This role provides occupational health nursing services to employees or persons who become ill or suffer a work-related or non-work-related injury. The position involves case management, administering company policy, coordinating testing, administering immunizations, assisting with medical surveillance exams, and supporting health and wellness programs.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent, and 4 years of additional education and/or related experience.
- Current AED and CPR certifications.
- Registered Nurse with the State Board of Nursing.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science Degree.
- Registered nurse with 5 years of nursing experience.
- Certified in audio and spirometer testing.
- Experience with Cal/Osha reporting and assessment standards.
- Occupational Health nursing experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide occupational health nursing services to employees or persons who become ill or suffer a work-related or non-work-related injury.
- Perform case management for work-related and non-work-related injuries and illnesses collaborating with Environmental, Health and Safety.
- Attend to subsequent dressings of injuries; maintain records of persons treated.
- Administer company policy in regards to Drug and Alcohol Free Workplace-coordinating drug/alcohol testing (post incident and for cause).
- Administer required immunizations and vaccinations.
- Assist with OSHA required medical surveillance exams (audiometric, respiratory, vision and urine collection).
- Screen employees for return to work clearance collaborating with the leave of absence desk.
- Prepare reports and assist with development of medical procedures and/or protocols.
- Support Corporate Health & Wellness Programs (blood drives, health fair and flu shots).
- Provide health education information; dispense standard drugs and medicines such as aspirin and cough or cold tablets.
- Refer contagious diseases or serious injuries to company or employee’s physician and may assist company doctor.
- Assist with medical equipment and supplies are maintained, sanitized and ready for use at all times.
