Requirements
- Minimum of a high school diploma or GED equivalent is required
- Completion of an AMA accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program is required
- ARRT or NMTCB is requred
- Maryland License is required
- BLS CPR is required
Nice To Haves
- 2 years’ experience in Nuclear Medicine is highly preferred
Responsibilities
- Performs all Nuclear Medicine imaging, uptake and dilution studies; assists with PET/CT imaging to provide quality diagnostic exams while providing a high level of patient care; prepares radiopharmaceutical kits and patient doses; complies with State regulations regarding handling of radioactive materials; schedules all exams to ensure exam appropriateness and provides communication to families and physicians; coordinates daily patient flow.
- Produces and evaluates images to assist the radiologist with timely interpretation of imaging exams and patients for treatment and plan of care for patients
- Adheres to image specific policies in regards to patient safety that are established by the Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital regulatory, and accreditation governing bodies
- Maintains required levels of education that pertain to clinical, family, and patient centered care
- Complies with State of Florida regulations regarding receipt, handling, disposal and administration of radioactive materials
- Demonstrates knowledge of various Nuclear Medicine equipment as well as PACs and RIS computer skills
