About The Position

This travel - temporary assignment takes place in a hospital setting. The role requires CA licensure and NM licensure, plus BLS, to perform standard nuclear medicine procedures with patient safety and regulatory compliance in mind.

Requirements

  • Active California license as Nuclear Medicine Technologist
  • Nuclear Medicine (NM) license
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
  • Availability for a day shift, Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM (8-hour days)
  • Willingness to participate in a 13-week travel assignment starting 08/24/2026
  • Must meet standard credentialing and onboarding requirements for a hospital-based nuclear medicine role

Responsibilities

  • Perform a range of nuclear medicine procedures under physician orders, including radiopharmaceutical preparation and administration.
  • Acquire, process, and interpret imaging studies (e.g., planar and functional imaging) in collaboration with the interpreting physician.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of procedures, patient data, and imaging results in the electronic medical record.
  • Maintain strict adherence to radiation safety, quality control, infection control, and regulatory standards.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and other members of the healthcare team to optimize patient care and throughput.
