About The Position

This is a travel assignment for a Nuclear Medicine Technologist in Burlington, Vermont. The role is based in a hospital-based nuclear medicine department and is a temporary assignment lasting 13 weeks. The position involves performing nuclear medicine procedures, ensuring patient and radiation safety, operating and troubleshooting imaging equipment, documenting procedures, collaborating with physicians and technologists, and educating patients. Call responsibilities are also part of the role.

Requirements

NMTCB or ARRT-NM required
BLS certification
Nuclear Medicine Tech Certification Verification (Equivalency)
Minimum 1 year of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience
Epic experience within the past 2 years is required
Reliable transportation required; public transportation is not accessible in the area
Ability to work in a hospital-based nuclear medicine department
Strong patient care and radiation safety practices
Must be able to work Monday–Sunday coverage per assignment notes
No block scheduling
Willingness to participate in call 2–3 times per month

Responsibilities

Perform nuclear medicine procedures, including administration of radiopharmaceuticals and acquisition of quality diagnostic images
Ensure patient safety and radiation safety principles, adhering to ALARA standards
Calibrate, operate, and troubleshoot gamma cameras and related imaging equipment; perform quality control and image processing
Document procedures and results in the EMR, with attention to accuracy and completeness
Collaborate with radiology physicians and technologists; coordinate imaging schedules and patient positioning
Educate patients about procedures and support during the exam; manage call responsibilities as assigned
