Requirements
- NMTCB and/or ARRT (N) certification in Nuclear Medicine required
- ARRT certification in Radiography (R) and Computed Tomography (CT) required
- Valid state licensure as a Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist and Radiologic Technologist (where required)
- Current BLS / CPR certification
- 2+ years of Nuclear Medicine and/or PET/CT experience
- Completion of a formal Radiologic Technology training program from an AMA-approved school
- Experience with PET/CT studies including oncology, Axumin, NETSPOT, amyloid, and cardiac imaging
- Proficiency in dual-energy CT, iterative reconstruction, and advanced CT protocols
- Fluency in PACS, RIS, and digital image processing
- Working knowledge of ALARA, radiation safety regulations, and radiopharmaceutical handling protocols
- Strong communication skills with patients, radiologists, and teammates
- Ability to manage workflow with minimal supervision
- Willingness to mentor students and contribute to a positive clinical culture

Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT procedures per physician orders and departmental protocols.
- Administer radiopharmaceuticals accurately and record isotope dosages per established protocol.
- Produce diagnostic-grade images across a full range of studies including oncology imaging, Axumin, NETSPOT, amyloid, and cardiac exams.
- Maintain deep knowledge of nuclear medicine physics, radiopharmaceutical handling, cross-sectional anatomy, and dual-energy CT protocols including iterative reconstruction.
- Be proficient in PACS and RIS systems.
- Apply ALARA radiation safety principles.
- Maintain clean, complete, real-time documentation.
- Manage own workflow, keep room ready, calibrate and QC instrumentation, and adapt to a high-volume outpatient schedule.
- Evaluate image quality, troubleshoot technical issues, and prioritize tasks.
- Provide patients with a clear explanation of the procedure, review medical history and contraindications, and ensure their comfort and safety.
- Observe patients during procedures and respond swiftly to any issues.
- Maintain infection control standards.
- Mentor students or new staff by modeling best practices and providing hands-on guidance.
