About The Position
Dominion Energy is seeking an Electrical/I&C Design intern for the North Anna Power Station (Nuclear) located in Mineral, VA, for the summer of 2027. This role is within the Mechanical Design department. The intern will contribute to developing technical documents for equipment failure evaluations, assess equipment performance trends through field walkdowns, and assist in the development of minor and major design changes to enhance station reliability. The position also involves providing technical input to various station departments on equipment-related issues.
Requirements
- Must be able to follow instructions and be a team player.
- Must have strong verbal and written communications skills.
- Must be currently enrolled as a student in an ABET accredited Electrical Engineering program at a four-year college or university.
- Must have a minimum of a 3.0 GPA.
- Must have an anticipated graduation date of December 2028 or Later.
Responsibilities
- Development of technical documents to evaluate equipment failures and other plant conditions.
- Evaluation of equipment performance trends including field walkdowns.
- Development of minor design changes to support station reliability improvements.
- Support development of major design changes to support long-term station reliability improvements.
- Support station departments with technical input on a variety of equipment-related concerns.
