About The Position

Astrodyne TDI is seeking a skilled NPI Technician for their EMI Filters Department. This role involves assembling power electronic systems and prototypes, assisting with test plan creation and implementation for prototype EMI Filters and Power Distribution Units (PDUs). The technician will collaborate with engineers to resolve developmental issues during the first-time build process, troubleshoot and perform failure analysis on prototypes, and interact with the production team for final unit transfer.

Requirements

  • Minimum High School Diploma / GED Required
  • At least 2 years of experience working in electronics.
  • Practical understanding of Electrical Engineering concepts
  • Proficiency with electronic test equipment (Oscilloscope, DMM, etc.)
  • Hands-on mechanical experience.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to write comprehensive technical reports
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word & Excel.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's Degree in Electronic Technology or similar discipline preferred.
  • Familiarity with J-STD and IPC-610/620 standards preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assembling power electronic systems and prototypes according to specifications.
  • Assist with creating and implementing test plans for prototype EMI Filters and Power distribution Units (PDUs).
  • Collaborate with engineers to identify and solve developmental problems during the first-time build process.
