About The Position

The Product Engineer Technician is responsible for temperature characterization of new products, analyzing customer-returned parts, and fulfilling internal and external customer requests for data. This role requires strong technical expertise, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to follow through on assigned tasks. The ideal candidate is assertive yet diplomatic, with strong resource planning and communication skills, and can effectively manage technician workloads and scheduling. Proficiency in soldering is highly encouraged.

Requirements

  • Technical Associates degree and/or 1-5 years related technician work experience
  • Necessary computer skills include Microsoft Office
  • Must be an effective communicator with the ability to interface with others within the organization, possessing a thorough written and verbal command of the English language.
  • Willingness to work onsite 5 days per week in Camarillo, CA

Nice To Haves

  • Strong background in troubleshooting, circuit construction, and lab procedure
  • Familiar with Oscilloscope measurements with standard and specialized plug-ins/probes
  • Familiar with Curve tracer measurements (device level characterization)
  • Familiar with Use of DMM, TLP, ESD, VNA, surge testers, power supplies
  • Familiar with AC measurement techniques
  • Familiar with IC circuit measurements using micro-probers
  • Strong soldering skills required, certificate a plus. Ability to work with small surface mount devices essential.
  • Bachelor’s in electrical engineering or similar
  • Experience in Semiconductor field

Responsibilities

  • Use manufacturing test, development, or diagnostic equipment including, but not limited to oscilloscopes, specialized test apparatus, TLP, ESD, and various automated test equipment.
  • Assist product engineers in electrical characterization of new products.
  • Conduct engineering tests and detailed experimental testing to collect data and assist in research work.
  • Use schematics to conduct probe or package hardware for bench and ATE testing of devices.
  • Perform operational tests and fault isolation.
  • Perform other technical work related to your job duties as assigned.
