About The Position

The New Product Introduction Specialist is responsible for maintaining all technical documentation associated with electronic products, assemblies, and components. This role ensures that engineering drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), manufacturing instructions, and compliance documents are accurate, consistent, and accessible throughout the product lifecycle. The specialist works closely with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to support product releases, changes, and continuous improvement initiatives. Strong attention to detail, proficiency with PLM tools, and comfort navigating product structures are essential to success in this role.

Requirements

  • Technical diploma or degree in a relevant field (e.g., electronics, manufacturing technology, industrial engineering), or equivalent experience with PLM systems and product documentation processes
  • 1–3 years experience in documentation control, configuration management or engineering support within an electronics or manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated experience working with PLM systems to manage product structures, documentation, and engineering change workflows
  • Proficiency with ERP systems used for product and documentation management
  • Familiarity with BOM structures, assembly processes, and electronic components
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Visio)
  • Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills
  • Strong written communication and ability to communicate clearly
  • Ability to manage document workflows and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Collaborative mindset with strong teamwork skills
  • Fluent in French and English, both verbal and written (this role requires interaction with our international collaborators and customers)

  • Experience in electronics manufacturing environments.

  • Knowledge of lean documentation practices.
  • Deeper knowledge of electronic components and assembly processes

Responsibilities

  • Maintain product documentation, including BOMs, technical drawings, assembly instructions, and product specifications
  • Process and update documentation associated with Engineering Change Requests (ECR) and Engineering Change Orders (ECO)
  • Support Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) activities by ensuring accurate data entry and document structure
  • Ensure documentation meets industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001) and regulatory requirements (e.g., RoHS, REACH when applicable)
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure product documentation is accurate
  • Manage document release workflows within PLM/ERP systems (e.g. Arena, Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O)
