About The Position

Rubbercraft (RCC) is seeking an NPI Manufacturing Technician 2 (1st Shift) responsible for supporting the development and production within the New Product Introduction (NPI) department. This role works closely with the Value Stream Manager, Engineering, and Quality teams to ensure alignment with company objectives and successful execution of new product builds. This is a hands-on manufacturing role in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, contributing directly to business growth through improvements in safety, quality, productivity, on-time delivery, cost, and overall performance.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 2-4+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment required
  • Strong attention to detail and hand-eye coordination
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multitasking environment
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes and safety procedures
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
  • Employment is contingent upon the applicant being a “U.S. person” as defined by ITAR (22 CFR §120.15), which includes U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, refugees, or asylees, as required by U.S. export control laws.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree or higher preferred
  • Experience in high-mix, low-volume manufacturing preferred
  • Experience in elastomeric or similar materials/processes preferred

Responsibilities

  • Support NPI development and production activities within the manufacturing environment
  • Perform precision hand lay-up of elastomeric and composite materials, including work in tight tolerances and small cavities
  • Handle and combine materials such as elastomers, dry fabrics, pre-impregnated fabrics, resins, and metal inserts to produce reinforced seals
  • Maintain high attention to detail while documenting processes and supporting development of work instructions
  • Operate hand tools, measurement devices, and equipment to meet quality standards
  • Maintain part identification, traceability, and compliance with documentation requirements
  • Manage multiple jobs simultaneously while maintaining product quality and efficiency
  • Maintain tools, molds, machines, and work areas in a clean and organized condition
  • Apply Lean Manufacturing principles to improve cost, quality, and efficiency
  • Support a safe work environment through adherence to 6S, EHS, and safety protocols
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and customer satisfaction
