The Capital Health Medical Group includes over 600 physicians and providers. This NP/PA position in Neuro Critical Care involves performing physical assessments, documenting patient care, obtaining nursing histories, and identifying patient risks. The role requires consulting with an interdisciplinary team, performing necessary procedures, developing and revising patient care plans, ordering and reviewing tests, and discussing plans with patients and families. The NP/PA provides safe, therapeutic, and holistic care, evaluates care effectiveness, and contributes to performance improvement. Key aspects include effective communication, conflict resolution, collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, and serving as a change agent. The role also involves coordinating patient care, facilitating patient education, acting as a primary resource, leading quality improvement processes, and assisting in the development and revision of care standards and patient education programs. Participation in clinical research, reviewing nursing research literature, mentoring team members, seeking leadership opportunities, and continuous professional development are also expected.
