Critical Care (CVICU) NP/PA
About The Position
This is a Locum Tenens position for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant specializing in Critical Care within the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU). The role involves managing HVI CCU patients under the guidance of an Intensivist. Responsibilities include daily rounding, patient management, order entry, admissions, and post-operative management. The position also requires performing procedures such as arterial lines, central lines, Swan-Ganz catheter insertion and IABP removal, as well as managing patients on VA & VV ECMO, Impella, LVAD, and cardiac transplant.
Requirements
- Board Certified (BC)
- Licensed in PA
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
Responsibilities
- Manage HVI CCU patients under guidance of Intensivist
- Perform daily rounding, patient management, and order entry
- Handle admissions and post-operative management
- Perform procedures including arterial lines, central lines, Swan-Ganz catheter, and IABP removal
