About The Position

This is an employed position for an advanced practice provider joining a busy, well-respected practice with a strong referral base and the resources of a robust health system network. In collaboration with a physician, the Nurse Practitioner helps expand individualized primary healthcare services by diagnosing and treating certain acute or chronic health conditions. The role includes obtaining patient histories, conducting assessments, ordering and interpreting diagnostic studies, providing preventive care, managing health conditions, educating patients and caregivers, and documenting care according to specialty standards and network policy.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Nursing.
• Nurse Practitioner with Prescriptive Authority credential from the Oklahoma Board of Nursing, obtained before the hire or job transfer date. For incumbents working in Kansas-based facilities, licensure through the Kansas Board of Nursing is required.
• BLS Provider certification obtained within 30 days of the hire or job transfer date; American Heart Association or American Red Cross certification is accepted.

Nice To Haves

• Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) credential.
• Registered Nurse credential from the Oklahoma Board of Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a physician to expand individualized primary healthcare services by diagnosing and treating certain acute or chronic health conditions.
• Obtain patient histories and assess patients through observation, interviews, and examinations.
• Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic studies.
• Perform preventive health assessments, screenings, immunizations, and patient care.
• Provide direct treatment and manage health conditions, including referrals to other healthcare providers or community resources.
• Counsel and educate patients and their families or caregivers about preventive health, treatment options, and community resources.
• Document healthcare delivery and nursing processes in accordance with specialty standards and network nursing policy.
