About The Position

The Noyce Graduate Research Assistant will support the recruiting, retention, program coordination, and evaluation of the Robert Noyce NSF grant program. This role involves assisting with outreach, coordinating program events, providing research assistance, and managing data.

Requirements

  • Must be a graduate student.
  • This position is classified as Security-Sensitive and is thereby subject to the provisions of Texas Education Code §51.215 and Texas Government Code §411.094, which authorize employers to obtain and review criminal history record information for applicants.
  • Responsible for personal safety and the safety of others; must exercise due caution and practice safe work habits at all times.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in coordinating and supporting outreach activities to inform eligible candidates about scholarship opportunities and program requirements.
  • Distribute informational materials through approved university and community channels.
  • Track and report recruitment metrics and engagement outcomes.
  • Provide logistical support for program events, workshops, and seminars.
  • Assist in scheduling meetings, managing communication with participants, and documenting event outcomes.
  • Help maintain an organized digital archive of program resources and materials.
  • Collect, organize, and code qualitative and quantitative data related to program activities and outcomes.
  • Conduct literature reviews relevant to STEM teacher preparation, retention, and related fields.
  • Support preparation of academic posters, presentations, and publications for dissemination efforts.
  • Input and manage data using appropriate software (e.g., Excel, SPSS, Media).
  • Assist with analyzing trends and patterns for reporting to NSF and institutional stakeholders.
