Requirements

Licensed to practise medicine in Nova Scotia
Strong familiarity with the Nova Scotia healthcare system, workflows, and physician community.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving digital health environment.
Maintain professionalism as outlined by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia.
Demonstrate strong knowledge of the Nova Scotia medical landscape and virtual care environment.
Maintain clear records of recommendations and decisions.
Handle all confidential company and patient information with discretion.

Nice To Haves

Experience in medical leadership, administration, or business is an asset.
Knowledge of Rocket Doctor’s EMR, platform extensions, and applicable privacy regulations in Canada and the United States (HIPAA, PHIPA, PIPEDA) is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

Grow and Strengthen Nova Scotia’s Physician Presence: Support the Provider Success team in recruiting, onboarding, and retaining Nova Scotia physicians. Help build a strong provincial physician community and encourage ongoing clinical engagement.
Support Provincial Operations & Quality: Investigate and respond to patient, provider, or PCC-raised concerns related to Nova Scotia care. Review and refine clinical workflows specific to Nova Scotia to improve efficiency, compliance, and physician ease of practice. Maintain close communication with practicing Nova Scotia physicians, including active presence on Slack and participation in local meetings.
Strategic Specialty Leadership: Serve as a clinical leader supporting the growth of Nova Scotia’s virtual care presence. Liaise with Nova Scotia health authorities, organizations, and partners as appropriate. Provide input on Nova Scotia-specific product needs, regulatory considerations, and physician experience improvements.
MD LEAD RESPONSIBILITIES (CROSS-PROVINCIAL): Attend and contribute to MD Roundtable meetings. Support initial onboarding of new physicians across provinces as needed. Partner with the product and operations teams on improvement initiatives. Provide troubleshooting support on emerging physician issues across all provinces. Assist with communications and strategic updates for physicians and Rocket Doctor staff. Help coordinate physician meetings and engagement events across Canada.
