About The Position
ACRT, Inc. is seeking an energetic entry-level professional who enjoys working outdoors and is interested in gaining forestry experience. The role is suited to people with an educational background in forestry, horticulture, arboriculture, biology, environmental studies, conservation, or a related discipline. The position involves travel throughout Twin Falls and the surrounding areas. The forester patrols utility lines for hazard trees, identifies and inspects trees and brush, evaluates their condition, and helps submit inspection results and recommendations to clients.
Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- One year of related experience in the green industry or a related field, or a two- or four-year degree in arboriculture, forestry, biology, environmental studies, or a related field.
- Ability to identify local trees and knowledge of growth rates desired.
- Ability to work independently.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in rugged terrain and inclement weather.
- Ability to read and follow maps.
- Valid driver's license and ability to drive and operate a 4x4 vehicle.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office programs.

Responsibilities
