About The Position

Under the direction of the principal, provide supervision for students on the playground and in the cafeteria. This role involves assisting and supervising students during transitions, playtime, and meal times. The Noon Supervisor may also be involved in issuing citations for rule infractions, intervening to ensure student safety, and reporting relevant information to staff. On rainy days, responsibilities may extend to monitoring hallways to maintain order in classrooms.

• Sufficient training and experience to demonstrate the knowledge and abilities listed above.

Responsibilities

• Assist and supervise students entering and leaving the cafeteria and while at play on the playground.
• Supervise students while in the cafeteria for breakfast or lunch.
• May assist in clean up of cafeteria after lunch.
• May issue citations to students failing to obey cafeteria or playground rules.
• Intervene, when needed, to keep students safe.
• Maintain good rapport with students and staff.
• Report pertinent information to teachers or principal.
• On rainy days, may monitor hallways by roving them to insure students are orderly in their classrooms.
