About The Position

This is a part-time position at Cañon Exploratory School, working 2 hours a day on student contact days only. The role involves supervising children in grades K-5 on the playground and in the lunchroom, demonstrating reliability, professionalism, and promoting positive working relationships. The aide will meet the educational, physical, and emotional needs of students, utilize basic technology, and work with students with special needs, including supervision in inclement weather. The anticipated timeline for hiring is open until filled, with screening of applications starting Friday, August 21, 2026.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to work cooperatively in a school atmosphere with staff members, students and the public.
Ability to read, write and speak in order to comply with directions and instructions to complete tasks and establish priorities.
Ability to supervise children in grades K-5 on the playground setting and in the lunchroom.
Knowledge of Positive Behavioral Supports Systems.
Ability to work with others.
Initiative to seek solutions to problems.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
Pass pre-employment physical.
