About The Position
Fruitport Community Schools is seeking a Noon Supervisor for Shettler Elementary. This position is responsible for supervising students during lunch and recess periods, managing student behavior, and ensuring a safe and positive environment. The role involves direct interaction with elementary students, promoting positive behavior, and assisting with minor first aid. The position is part-time, working 3 hours per day, 15 hours per week, Monday through Friday during student days. There is an option to pick up additional hours for breakfast supervision.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience with elementary students is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Supervise drop-off routine, including managing student behaviors, breakfast in the cafeteria, drop-off lane, and playground.
- Supervise lunch, including managing student behaviors, washing tables, and dismissing students to recess.
- Supervise recess, including managing student behaviors, patrolling the playground, and dismissing students to line spots.
- Proactively build student relationships to mitigate student behaviors.
- Hold students accountable to STAR values/expectations.
- Use school-wide incentives to acknowledge positive student behavior (STAR Tickets).
- Respond to and record student misbehavior.
- Assist students with minor first aid.
- Work outside in winter conditions.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the school administration.
