About The Position

This role is part of the BAE Systems' nationwide LEAP Internship & Co-op Program, where interns Learn, Engage, Apply, and Progress within the company. The LEAP Program provides opportunities to work alongside experienced professionals on impactful projects, engage in career development, and network with business leaders and other students. In this position, you will play a key part in optimizing how the business functions by helping to manage the evolution of internal systems, taking project plans from conceptual stage to full-scale rollout. By applying Lean organizational methodologies, you will help identify inefficiencies and build a more scalable operational framework. From supporting business development efforts to managing the administrative backbone of strategic projects, you will gain a 360-degree view of how a global organization operates and grows.

Requirements

• Actively enrolled in a Bachelor’s Degree program, entering College Junior or Senior year in a business or industrial engineering degree.
• Motivated individual with strong problem-solving abilities and ability to work independently.
• Effective communication skills (both verbal and written).
• Excellent team player who is willing to contribute and learn.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

• Attention to detail / critical thinking.
• Develop and deploy a framework of continuous improvement utilizing lean principles.
• Ability to analyze data, understand process flows, track performance, and make improvements.
• Strong understanding of core business concepts.
