About The Position
The Neurodiagnostic Technician performs routine and complex diagnostic testing in the laboratory and in critical care areas in accordance with hospital policies and national standards. The EEG Technician calibrates equipment, sets measuring parameters, and reports findings to the physician for analysis and interpretation. The role reviews patient records, assesses patients’ physical and emotional needs, explains testing procedures to patients and/or families, identifies and corrects artifacts before forwarding results to the attending physician, and helps maintain EEG equipment and supplies. This is a PRN opportunity at Menorah Medical Center in Overland Park and Leawood, Kansas.
Requirements
- EEG training that meets the minimal standards for clinical EEG testing established by The American Society of Electroneurodiagnostic Technologists.

Responsibilities
- Review the patient's medical record and assess the patient to determine physical and emotional needs.
- Communicate information about the test and explain the testing procedure to the patient and/or family.
- Identify and correct artifacts before forwarding results to the attending physician.
- Assist in maintaining EEG equipment and supplies.
- Perform routine and complex diagnostic testing in laboratory and critical care areas according to hospital policies and national standards.
- Calibrate EEG equipment, set measuring parameters, and report findings to the physician for analysis and interpretation.
