About The Position

SA Recycling is seeking a hard-working, reliable, safety-minded Nonferrous Weighmaster to serve as a primary point of contact for customers and accurately weigh and sort nonferrous metals. The role includes completing required documentation for materials received and payments. It is fast-paced and requires strong customer service, communication, and coordination skills. The position may involve working outdoors in varying weather conditions and follows Metals Recycling Business Health, Safety, and Environmental standards. Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Ability to learn to identify various types of ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Must pass a credit and background check.
Must pass a drug screen.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience as a weighmaster is preferred but not required.
One year of heavy customer service experience in the scrap metal or a similar industry is preferred.
Bilingual English and Spanish language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

Accurately and courteously weigh nonferrous metals delivered by suppliers, following company policies, procedures, and state guidelines.
Sort and weigh inbound scrap materials from individual customers.
Enter scrap material and customer information into the ticketing system.
Provide customers with accurate receipts for delivered scrap materials.
Educate, inform, and assist customers with documentation required for accepting scrap materials.
Complete and submit required reports in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Perform basic housekeeping in the scale house and customer areas to maintain a safe, clean environment.
Work with the general public.
