About The Position

This position reviews rolls returned from the bagging area, conducts inventory and quality reviews, and determines whether rolls meet quality standards for reprocessing in the bagging area or should be designated as scrap. The role requires maintaining detailed written records of inspections and decisions and reports to the Production Engineer Manager.

The position involves working primarily on the manufacturing floor, applying the company’s Core Values and using measurement tools to verify roll quality. Reliable personal transportation is required to travel between multiple facilities throughout the day.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of quality control experience in a manufacturing environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in documenting and reporting inspection results.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with various areas of the plant.
• Ability to work as part of a team to achieve quality goals.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs., and perform repetitive tasks efficiently.
• Reliable personal transportation to travel between multiple facilities throughout the day.
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Apply the Company’s Core Values in the work environment.
• Perform daily inventory of rolls, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting.
• Identify and review non-compliant rolls that do not meet quality standards.
• Record inspection results and the status of non-conforming rolls.
• Update the Radius system with information on rolls sent back to the bagging area.
• Rework non-conforming rolls for a second inspection if necessary.
• Use a tape measure, scale, and thickness gauge to verify that rolls meet quality standards.
• Determine whether rolls should be reprocessed in the bagging area or designated as scrap.
