Non-Student Extra Help (Adult Education) for Correctional Facility in Pine Bluff
About The Position
This teaching position will be at the Juvenile Correctional Facility in Pine Bluff. The Workforce Ed Instructor is responsible for all aspects of the Adult Education program. This individual is responsible for instructing classes, developing lesson plans and other instructional material, assisting with coordinating classes, maintaining student records, performing involved office duties requiring critical thinking skills and independent judgment, provide assistance to centers lead teachers. Regular work attendance is a must. Attend all mandated state meetings. Conduct faculty & staff professional development.
Requirements
- Must hold a current Ar teaching license.
- Formal education equivalent to an associate’s degree with intentions of getting Bachelor’s within two years.
- Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.

Responsibilities
- Schedule all students for the TABE test.
- Monitor student’s attendance and advise teachers on when students should post-test.
- Administer all TABE test for students.
- Schedule all GED ready test for students.
- Administer all GED ready test for students.
- Schedule all GED test.
- Performing all student intakes.
- Adding new students to DRC.
- Producing reports from DRC.
- Creating and maintaining student files.
- Entering data accurately into LACES.
