About The Position

This teaching position will be at the Juvenile Correctional Facility in Pine Bluff. The Workforce Ed Instructor is responsible for all aspects of the Adult Education program. This individual is responsible for instructing classes, developing lesson plans and other instructional material, assisting with coordinating classes, maintaining student records, performing involved office duties requiring critical thinking skills and independent judgment, and providing assistance to centers lead teachers. Duties include, but are not limited to: scheduling and administering TABE tests, scheduling and administering GED ready tests, scheduling GED tests, performing student intakes, adding new students to DRC, producing reports from DRC, creating and maintaining student files, and entering data accurately into LACES. Regular work attendance is a must, and the instructor must attend all mandated state meetings and conduct faculty & staff professional development.

Requirements

  • Must hold a current Ar teaching license
  • Formal education equivalent to an associate’s degree with intentions of getting Bachelor’s within two years
  • Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment
