Position Overview We are seeking a hands-on Non-Sterile Lab Technician to join Precision Medicine at our Bellmore/Farmingdale, NY location. This role is focused on non-sterile compounding and plays a critical role in ensuring the safety, accuracy, and quality of customized medications. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment while maintaining strict quality and compliance standards.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician
  • Hands-on experience with non-sterile compounding in a compounding pharmacy or production environment is required
  • Active registration with the New York State Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician is required
  • Strong understanding of pharmacy workflows and medical terminology
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to follow SOPs and regulatory guidelines consistently
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with USP <795> standards and non-sterile compounding compliance
  • Knowledge of multiple routes of administration, including topical, sublingual, and oral
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment
  • Experience using pharmacy systems for labeling, tracking, and batch record management

Responsibilities

  • Support pharmacists in preparing and dispensing customized medications
  • Compound non-sterile preparations, including creams, gels, suspensions, capsules, and troches, in compliance with USP <795> and internal SOPs
  • Accurately weigh, measure, and mix ingredients to ensure consistency and precision
  • Perform quality control checks and ensure all compounds are properly labeled, packaged, and documented
  • Maintain accurate and organized batch records and compounding logs
  • Assist with inventory management, including tracking, restocking, and documentation of raw materials
  • Collaborate with pharmacists and team members to ensure timely and efficient production
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support pharmacy operations, patient safety, and regulatory compliance.
