About The Position

Strive Pharmacy is a personalized compounding pharmacy focused on individualized care and partnerships with patients and providers. The Non Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician prepares custom prescriptions, including hazardous and non-hazardous compounds, while following quality-control requirements and the pharmacy’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). This is a full-time, onsite role scheduled Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with an hourly pay rate of $22–$27 USD.

The position requires prior pharmacy experience and at least one year of non-sterile compounding experience. The technician works in both hazardous and non-hazardous labs, wears required protective gear, and helps maintain a clean, safe, compliant work environment. The role includes regular sitting, standing, and computer use, with occasional lifting. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Clean criminal record.
• PTCB certification.
• Active Technician License; Technician Trainee License is not accepted.
• Willingness to wear required protective gear.
• Previous pharmacy experience.
• At least one year of non-sterile compounding experience.
• Knowledge of USP 795, USP 800, and cGMP FDA 503A Guidelines.
• Ability to work in both hazardous and non-hazardous labs.

Responsibilities

• Mix custom medications, including liquids, creams, and pills.
• Maintain and document scales and meters to ensure precise measurements.
• Perform quality control and hand compounds off to the pharmacist for final approval.
• Manage chemical inventory and keep it fresh.
• Maintain a clean and safe workspace.
• Work collaboratively with the team to address challenges and follow schedules.
• Participate in audits and inspections to meet industry standards.
