About The Position

Strive Pharmacy is seeking a dedicated Non-Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician to join their team. This role is crucial in preparing and compounding custom medications, both hazardous and non-hazardous, for individuals. The technician will be responsible for upholding high standards of quality control and ensuring strict compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Active Florida State Board of Pharmacy Technician License.
  • Ability to successfully pass a criminal background check.
  • Absolute willingness to wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for hazardous and non-hazardous compounding.

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ years of dedicated non-sterile compounding experience in a pharmacy setting is highly preferred.
  • National Certification Board (PTCB or NHA) preferred.
  • Strong familiarity with USP <795> (Non-Sterile Compounding), USP <800> (Hazardous Drug Handling), and FDA 503A/cGMP guidelines.
  • Comfortable and capable of working interchangeably in both hazardous and non-hazardous compounding environments.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately compound and mix custom non-sterile medications (including liquids, topical creams, capsules, and more) according to formulas and prescriptions.
  • Calibrate, maintain, and document the use of precision equipment, scales, and meters to ensure exact measurements.
  • Execute strict quality control protocols and present finished compounds to the pharmacist for final verification and approval.
  • Monitor, manage, and rotate the chemical and raw material inventory to ensure potency, freshness, and optimal stock levels.
  • Maintain a pristine, organized, and safe cleanroom workspace.
  • Actively participate in internal and external audits/inspections to ensure total regulatory compliance.
  • Work collaboratively with the laboratory and pharmacy team to meet daily compounding schedules and troubleshoot workflow challenges.
