About The Position

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is seeking a Non-Invasive Cardiologist to join the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health. This role involves providing direct patient care, including inpatient consultations and outpatient cardiology clinics. The position also includes managing noninvasive cardiac testing (echocardiography, TEE, cardiac stress testing), interpreting ECG and ambulatory ECGs, and teaching cardiology fellows, medical residents, and students. The cardiologist will also participate in the cardiology call coverage schedule and quality improvement activities. Requirements

  • Current board eligibility or certification in Cardiology
  • Active DEA license required
  • Experience treating an under-served patient population preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care, including inpatient consultation and outpatient cardiology clinic.
  • Manage noninvasive cardiac testing such as echocardiography, including TEE and cardiac stress testing.
  • ECG and ambulatory ECG interpretation and reporting.
  • Direct teaching responsibilities for cardiology fellows, as well as teaching and mentoring medical residents and medical students.
  • Participate cardiology call coverage schedule for the division.
  • Participate in performance and quality improvement activities.

Benefits

  • Annual Base Salary: $340,000 (board eligible); $350,000 (board certified) based on 40-hour work week.
  • Additional compensation available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours.
