About The Position

An iidon Security Associate helps maintain a safe and secure environment for customers and employees by monitoring and patrolling premises and personnel. The role may involve securing building lobbies and floors, parking garages, loading docks, and building or outer perimeters. Associates monitor surveillance equipment, inspect buildings and access points, permit entry, and maintain departmental security procedures. They control vehicular and pedestrian traffic in loading dock areas and monitor materials entering or leaving those areas. The position also involves documenting observations and incidents, interviewing witnesses, obtaining signatures, reporting irregularities, informing policy violators, and restraining trespassers. Associates monitor building and equipment controls, comply with legal requirements, perform preventive equipment maintenance, troubleshoot malfunctions, request repairs, evaluate equipment and techniques, and contribute to team efforts. Previous experience securing high-rise buildings is required. The posting also notes that experience is preferred but not required for some accounts.

Requirements

Previous experience securing high-rise buildings.
Valid ID or driver's license.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to stand for long periods, climb multiple stairs, respond promptly to emergencies, and lift heavy objects.
Skills in observation, dealing with uncertainty, judgment, objectivity, dependability, emotional control, integrity, safety management, and professionalism.

Responsibilities

Monitor surveillance equipment and inspect buildings, equipment, and access points; permit entry.
Patrol building lobbies, building floors, parking garages, loading docks, building perimeters, and outer perimeters while following departmental security procedures.
Control vehicular and pedestrian traffic in loading dock areas and monitor materials entering or leaving the dock.
Prevent losses and damage by reporting irregularities, informing violators of policies and procedures, and restraining trespassers.
Record observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities; interview witnesses and obtain signatures.
Monitor and set building and equipment controls.
Comply with legal requirements to maintain the organization's stability and reputation.
Complete preventive maintenance requirements, follow manufacturer instructions, troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, call for repairs, and evaluate equipment and techniques.
Contribute to team efforts by completing related duties as needed.
