About The Position

Zūm is seeking passionate individuals to join their team and transform student transportation. As a Non-CDL Van Driver, you will be responsible for the safe transportation of students to and from school and school-related activities, ensuring a positive and secure environment. This is a safety-sensitive role due to the responsibility of transporting students, where any impairment could pose a significant risk. Requirements

• This role is classified as a safety-sensitive position
• Minimum age: 21 years of age or older
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Legally authorized to work in the United States
• For Certified Non-CDL Van Drivers: Valid IL driver's license, clean driving record, 3+years of driving experience & IL First Division School Bus Driver Permit (Non‑CDL)
• For Non-Certified Non-CDL Van Drivers: Valid IL driver's license, clean driving record & 3+years of driving experience
• Willing to obtain the First Division School Bus Driver Permit (Non-CDL) - state requirements, with training provided
• Ability to pass background check and drug test
• Physical ability to assist students and lift up to 50 lbs
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students to and from school and school-related activities
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any issues
• Ensure student safety during boarding, transit, and exiting the vehicle
• Manage student behavior and maintain a positive environment in the vehicle
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff
