About The Position

Under general supervision, operate company trucks to deliver products to customers. The role involves driving, loading and unloading goods and materials, maintaining required driving records and vehicle inspection reports, and ensuring cargo is properly secured and handled safely. Most work time is spent driving and loading or unloading. The job generally involves 50% driving, 30% walking, and 20% standing and may require work in a variety of weather conditions. Requirements

Have or be able to obtain a DOT Medical Card.
Read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
Perform basic math, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Read a tape measure.
Stand for extensive periods of time.
Bend over, reach upwards or outwards, twist, turn around, and climb up and down.
Have a clean MVR, with no more than one major violation within the past five years.
Lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds and climb on and off a flatbed.
High school diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

Preferably three years of driving experience.

Responsibilities

Operate company vehicles in compliance with local, state, federal, and company rules and safe-driving practices.
Safely load and unload cargo as required.
Maintain an ELD logbook in accordance with DOT regulations.
Complete vehicle inspection reports.
Review shipping papers for the nature of the load and any special handling requirements.
Check that the trailer load is properly secured and safe.
Wear safety equipment when handling materials.
Maintain the truck in a clean, safe, and positive work environment.
