Non-CDL Furniture Delivery Driver
About The Position
W.B. Mason is hiring a full-time Non-CDL Furniture Delivery Driver for a Monday through Friday schedule, with no evenings or weekends. The position offers year-round work, guaranteed eight hours of pay per day, and daily overtime opportunities. Drivers perform a pre-trip inspection, deliver and install furniture to customer specifications, and deliver and place bulk supply items. They represent W.B. Mason to customers by providing excellent service and building strong relationships, while completing deliveries safely and efficiently and communicating with supervisors. The role involves navigating varying weather conditions and may involve operating material handling equipment (MHE). The company provides required training and certification for each piece of equipment before it may be used; using equipment without the required training and certification may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination. Requirements
- Be at least 21 years old.
- Have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Have at least one year of driving experience.
- Have experience with basic furniture assembly.
- Have exceptional customer service skills.
- Have outstanding communication skills.
- Be fluent in English.
- Be able to work both as part of a team and independently.
- Be able to obtain a DOT medical card.
- Be able to manage time appropriately to meet deadlines.
- Be able to lift or move up to 100 pounds.
Responsibilities
- Perform a pre-trip inspection before beginning the route.
- Deliver and install furniture according to customer specifications.
- Provide excellent customer service and build strong relationships with customers.
