About The Position

We are hiring a local delivery driver to support our daily warehouse operations in a fast-paced distribution environment. Training is provided. This role involves rotating between driving a delivery truck with a capacity of less than 26,000 pounds gross vehicle weight (GVW), loading/unloading product at customer locations for established routes by driving a box truck or tractor-trailer. The role may also include merchandising/material handling routes and assisting in warehouse operations when needed.

Requirements

Must be familiar with Encompass handheld database software.
Valid Class C/D driver’s license meeting acceptable criteria.
Must pass the background check, motor vehicle driver check, and drug screen.
Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds using an electric pallet jack or cart.
Specific vision abilities required: Close vision, Distance vision, Peripheral vision, Depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Occasionally required to climb or balance.

OSHA Forklift and Pallet jack training (will train).

Responsibilities

Services customers assigned to the route based on the scheduled time-stopped ranking.
Adapts to any changes in work assignments as well as supports organizational restructuring efforts.
Follows accounts receivable guidelines set by the trade/customer when checking in orders (DSD, PO#, Military, Receipt, or Stamp) with the customer.
Places the product in our designated area and/or moves the pallet display directly to the floor.
Picks up all shells/flats, returned pallets, and damaged or out-of-date products.
Merchandises assigned stops as scheduled per management.
Assists in warehouse duties, picking, loading/unloading trucks as needed.
Communicates issues, problems, or opportunities with the sales team and delivery team.
Follows all company policies and procedures set forth by management.
