About The Position

We are hiring a local delivery driver to support our daily warehouse operations in a fast-paced distribution environment. Training is provided. This role involves driving a delivery truck with a capacity of less than 26,000 pounds gross vehicle weight (GVW), loading/unloading product at customer locations for established routes, and merchandising assigned stops as scheduled. The driver will service customers based on scheduled time-stopped ranking and adapt to changes in work assignments. Responsibilities include following accounts receivable guidelines, placing product in designated areas or moving pallet displays, picking up shells/flats, returned pallets, and damaged or out-of-date products, and communicating issues to the sales and delivery teams. Requirements

  • Valid Class C/D driver’s license meeting acceptable criteria.
  • Familiar with Encompass handheld database software.
  • Must pass the background check, motor vehicle driver check, and drug screen.
  • Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds using an electric pallet jack or cart.
  • Specific vision abilities required: Close vision, Distance vision, Peripheral vision, Depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Occasionally required to climb or balance.

Responsibilities

  • Services customers assigned to the route based on the scheduled time-stopped ranking.
  • Must adapt to any changes in work assignments as well as support organizational restructuring efforts.
  • Follow accounts receivable guidelines set by the trade/customer when checking in orders (DSD, PO#, Military, Receipt, or Stamp) with the customer.
  • Place the product in our designated area and/or move the pallet display directly to the floor.
  • Pick up all shells/flats, returned pallets, and damaged or out-of-date products.
  • Merchandise assigned stops as scheduled per management.
  • Communicates issues, problems, or opportunities with the sales team and delivery team.
  • Follows all company policies and procedures set forth by management.
