About The Position

Pilkington North America is seeking a NON-CDL Delivery Driver/Warehouse employee to deliver glass to customers and support warehouse operations. The role delivers glass promptly, maintains positive customer relationships, receives and unpacks incoming shipments, locates and pulls products, inspects and loads glass, unloads deliveries, processes returns, stocks warehouse racks, and helps maintain inventory accuracy. The employee works closely with the lead person and local management to provide customer service and coordinate delivery routes. The position also serves will-call customers and completes proof-of-pick-up paperwork, complies with safety policies and procedures, and performs other related duties as assigned. The position is safety sensitive. The regular schedule is 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Flexibility to cover evening delivery routes is required only when coverage is needed. The position pays $20.00 per hour. The work may involve temperatures similar to outdoor conditions in the assigned Service Center.

Requirements

Proficiency in spoken and written English.
Valid driver’s license, a good driving record, and ability to read maps.
Ability to frequently lift 35–45 pounds and occasionally lift up to 70 pounds.
Ability to operate a forklift, order picker, and basic hand tools.
Excellent attendance.
Good customer relations skills; client interaction is required.
Ability to work in temperatures similar to outdoor conditions within the assigned Service Center.

Nice To Haves

Personal computer skills, including experience with a computerized inventory system.
Previous driving, material-handling, and glass experience.
High school diploma or equivalent (GED); preferred but not required.
Previous commercial driving experience; preferred but not required (the posting specifies a two-year minimum).

Responsibilities

Deliver glass to customers promptly.
Develop and maintain good customer relations during deliveries.
Develop and maintain a positive local work environment.
Receive glass shipments and unpack incoming trucks at the warehouse.
Work with the lead person to achieve a high level of complete customer service.
Locate required parts in the warehouse and remove them from stock.
Visually inspect glass and accurately load parts onto delivery trucks.
Unload delivery trucks and process returns daily.
Stock the warehouse by placing parts in their assigned racks.
Check inventory to help maintain its accuracy.
Receive orders from the warehouse office.
Comply with all safety policies and procedures.
Assist local management with inventory-system accuracy through cycle and physical inventory instructions.
Assist local management in coordinating driver delivery routes.
Locate and pull products for will-call customers and complete proof-of-pick-up paperwork.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
