About The Position

Pilkington North America, part of the Nippon Sheet Glass (NSG) group, manufactures and distributes automotive and flat glass for the automotive and building industries. The Non CDL Delivery Driver/Warehouse role delivers glass to customers and supports warehouse operations, inventory accuracy, order fulfillment, and customer service. This is a safety-sensitive position. The hours are 4 p.m. to 1 a.m., depending on route completion. Pay is $19.20, depending on experience.

Requirements

Proficiency in spoken and written English.
Valid driver's license and an acceptable motor vehicle record under Pilkington Auto Glass Replacement standards.
Ability to read maps.
Ability to lift windshields weighing an average of 35–45 pounds frequently or daily without assistance, and occasionally lift up to 70 pounds with a tandem lift.
Ability to operate a forklift, order picker, and basic hand tools.
Excellent attendance record.
Good customer relations skills; client interaction is required.
Ability to work in temperatures similar to outdoor conditions within the assigned Service Center.

Nice To Haves

Personal computer skills, including experience with a computerized inventory system.
Previous driving, material handling, and glass experience.

Responsibilities

Deliver glass to customers promptly.
Develop and maintain good customer relations during deliveries.
Develop and maintain a positive local work environment.
Receive glass shipments and unpack incoming trucks at the warehouse.
Work with the lead person to provide complete customer service.
Locate required parts in the warehouse and remove them from stock.
Visually inspect glass and accurately load parts onto delivery trucks.
Unload delivery trucks and process returns daily.
Stock the warehouse by placing parts in their assigned racks.
Check inventory to maintain its accuracy.
Receive orders from the warehouse office.
Comply with all safety policies and procedures.
Assist local management with inventory-system accuracy through cycle and physical inventory instructions.
Assist local management in coordinating driver delivery routes.
Locate and pull products for will-call customers and complete proof-of-pick-up paperwork.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
