About The Position

Pilkington North America, part of the Nippon Sheet Glass (NSG) group, manufactures and distributes automotive and flat glass for the automotive and building industries. The Non CDL Driver/Warehouse Associate primarily drives to deliver glass to customers, with warehouse duties as needed. The role delivers glass promptly, maintains positive customer relations, receives and unpacks shipments, locates and inspects products, loads deliveries, stocks warehouse racks, and checks inventory accuracy. The associate works closely with the lead person and warehouse office to provide complete customer service. This is a safety-sensitive position.

Core hours are 4:30 p.m. to 1:00 a.m., or until route completion, Monday through Friday. Pay is $21 per hour. Requirements

• Valid driver's license, good driving record, and ability to read maps.
• Ability to frequently lift 35–45 pounds and occasionally lift up to 70 pounds.
• Ability to operate a forklift, order picker, and basic hand tools.
• Good attendance.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.
• Good customer relations skills; client interaction is required.
• Ability to work in temperatures similar to outdoor conditions within the assigned Service Center.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED); preferred but not required.
• Personal computer skills, including experience with a computerized inventory system.
• Previous delivery driving, material handling, and glass experience.
• Previous commercial driving experience; preferred but not required. The posting also lists a two-year minimum in connection with this qualification.

Responsibilities

• Deliver glass to customers promptly when necessary.
• Develop and maintain good customer relations during deliveries.
• Help maintain a positive local work environment.
• Receive glass shipments and unpack incoming trucks at the warehouse.
• Work closely with the lead person to achieve a high level of customer service.
• Locate required parts in the warehouse and remove them from stock.
• Visually inspect glass and accurately load parts onto trucks for delivery.
• Stock the warehouse by placing parts in assigned racks.
• Check inventory to maintain accuracy for deliveries.
• Receive orders from the warehouse office.
