About The Position

Pilkington North America is hiring a Warehouse - NON CDL Delivery Driver to deliver glass to customers and perform warehouse duties. The role is described as 60% warehouse work and 40% delivery driving; the posting also states warehouse duties are performed 80% of the time. The driver delivers glass promptly, maintains good customer relations, receives and unpacks shipments, locates and retrieves parts, visually inspects and accurately loads glass and parts, stocks assigned racks, and checks inventory accuracy. The position works closely with the lead person to provide complete customer service and contribute to a positive local work environment. Core hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Pay is $17.00 per hour. This is a safety-sensitive position.

Requirements

• A valid driver's license, a good driving record, and the ability to read maps.
• Ability to frequently lift 35–45 pounds and occasionally lift up to 70 pounds.
• Ability to operate a forklift, an order picker, and basic hand tools.
• Good attendance.
• Proficiency in English, both verbal and written.
• Good customer relations skills; client interaction is required.
• Ability to work in temperatures similar to the outdoors within the assigned Service Center.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver glass to customers promptly.
• Perform warehouse duties, including receiving glass shipments and unpacking incoming trucks.
• Develop and maintain good customer relations during deliveries.
• Help develop and maintain a positive local work environment.
• Work closely with the lead person to achieve a high level of complete customer service.
• Locate required parts in the warehouse and remove them from stock.
• Visually inspect glass and accurately load parts onto the truck for delivery.
• Stock the warehouse by placing parts in their assigned racks.
• Check inventory to maintain its accuracy for delivery.
• Receive orders from the warehouse office.
