Nocturnist Hospitalist Physician – Southern Illinois | Carbondale, IL
About The Position
IN Compass Health is seeking Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Nocturnist Physicians to join its established Hospital Medicine team at Southern Illinois Healthcare (SIH) in Carbondale, Illinois. The role focuses on nighttime Hospital Medicine within a regional health system, working alongside hospitalist physicians and advanced practice providers. The program emphasizes thoughtful staffing and a sustainable physician practice, supported by IN Compass Health, a physician-led organization. IN Compass Health partners with SIH to support Hospital Medicine across the region, including Memorial Hospital of Carbondale and Herrin Hospital. SIH is a not-for-profit health system serving Southern Illinois, with multiple hospitals, a comprehensive cancer center, a Level II Trauma Center, and specialty and outpatient services.
Requirements
- MD or DO.
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
- Eligible for an unrestricted Illinois medical license.
- Strong clinical judgment and communication skills.
- Commitment to quality patient care.
