About The Position

Responsible for the overall operations for the assigned nursing unit and ensures the delivery of efficient, high quality patient care. The provision of care includes direct care along with the delegation and supervision of all nursing care in accordance with the applicable Nurse Practice Act. Works with employees and other managers to develop systems and procedures necessary for daily operations, and provides training, information and support to solve problems and accomplish assigned objectives. This position is a per diem NOC shift based in our Sabn Francisco facility.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing or in current program with a completion date of 2 years required.
  • Current, valid and active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment required.
  • Minimum one (1) year of nursing management experience required.
  • Minimum three (3) years of nursing experience required.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications from The American Heart Association, our approved vendor, are required.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
  • Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.
  • Freedom from illegal use of and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.

Nice To Haves

  • Critical care experience preferred
  • Experience in an acute care setting preferred.
  • Experience and knowledge of operations, including staffing and scheduling, budget management, workflow planning and staff development.
  • Ability to project a professional image.
  • Strong organizational, prioritizing and analytical skills.
