About The Position
The NKU Music Preparatory Program aims to make high-quality music education accessible to learners of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities. Through exceptional instruction, innovative programming, and community engagement, NKU Music Prep enriches the cultural life of the Northern Kentucky and Greater Cincinnati region. The program has an ongoing need for teachers with expertise in all instruments and voice to provide private lessons, as well as teachers for classroom instruction. Staff teach weekly lessons or classes according to their expertise and assignment. Pay is determined by enrollment for private lesson students, time commitment for class instructors, and experience. This is an open application for a candidate pool. Applications from qualified candidates are retained for consideration as positions become available; there may not be an immediate opening.
Requirements
- Expertise in an instrument or voice for private lesson instruction, or qualifications to teach classroom instruction.
Responsibilities
- Teach weekly private music lessons in an area of instrumental or vocal expertise.
- Teach music classes, depending on expertise and assignment.
