About The Position
Shawano County is organized according to Chapter 59 of the Wisconsin Statutes. This temporary, limited-term position monitors radar/winter road conditions during the night hours from 10:00PM - 6:00AM and will communicate with on-call staff as appropriate. The Night Watchman is responsible for cleaning equipment and the Highway Department buildings, and other duties as assigned. Length of employment will be December 1, 2026, through March 31, 2027, working 3-5 days per week, 24-40 hours per week.

Responsibilities
- Monitors radar/winter road conditions during the night hours from 10:00PM - 6:00AM
- Communicates with on-call staff as appropriate
- Cleans equipment and the Highway Department buildings
- Performs other duties as assigned
