About The Position
Prime, Inc. is looking for a hard-working, positive individual to contribute to the success of Prime by keeping truck and trailer equipment up to the company's high standards. This position will inspect, maintain, and make minor repairs/adjustments to tractors and trailers. It will be an overnight position.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); OR mechanical experience
- Must have a strong work history and mechanical knowledge.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
- Candidate must be able to pass a job specific post-offer physical prior to beginning employment with Prime, Inc.
Nice To Haves
- Tractor mechanic, diesel mechanic, HVAC, lube technician or automotive technician experience would be great, but not needed. We are committed to training you if you have no experience.
- Industrial experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Perform DOT Inspections
- Inspect units entering and exiting the yard to ensure the mechanical compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements.
- Inspect tires, lights, and other exterior components for safe operating conditions.
- Repairs, replaces, and adjusts malfunctioning equipment to restore operating condition specified in regulations and repair manuals.
- Ensures the timely and authorized movement of equipment.
- Refuels equipment as required.
- Tracks and accounts for all Fuel and Inspection Bay inventory.

- Top 20% of earners make over $65,000
