About The Position

Nucor Towers & Structures Inc is seeking a QC Inspector for their Crawfordsville, IN location. This role is crucial in ensuring that finished products meet customer specifications and AWS D1.1 standards. The inspector will perform dimensional layout and visual weld inspections, documenting all findings on appropriate forms. Safety is paramount at Nucor, and candidates must demonstrate a strong commitment to upholding safety policies and procedures.

Requirements

Experience in blueprint reading and layout.
Ability to achieve VT Level II or CWI certification.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge and experience with the manufacture of steel transmission/distribution monopole structures.
Knowledge and experience with weld inspection to the requirements of AWS D1.1.
Goal oriented with a drive for continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

Verify and document that finished product has been manufactured in such a manner that meets the requirements of the customer specifications and AWS D1.1.
Perform dimensional layout and visual weld inspections of all welds per the quality inspection procedures.
Document inspections on the appropriate inspection forms.
Initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
